This page explains what personal information RYFT Bikes collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect little.

Who is responsible

What we collect

• Reservations. When you reserve a spot, or send a build, we receive what you choose and type: your name, email address, phone number, the country and city where you live, an optional postal code, optional details such as your height, weight and riding, the frame and parts you chose, any message you add, and the fact that you agreed to our use of these details.
• The early list. If you join it, we receive your email address and the fact that you asked for RYFT updates.
• Emails. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address when you load the site, to deliver it and keep it secure. We do not use this data to identify you.

While you fill in the builder, your choices are kept in your browser's session storage so a page reload does not lose them. That data stays on your device, is deleted when you close the tab, and reaches us only if you press send.

What we do not do

This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and we do not run analytics. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact Google or other font providers when you visit. Links to other sites, such as the brand websites, take you to services we do not control.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your details to contact you about your reservation, to keep you posted while the frames are designed, and to learn where riders live so we can plan where we can sell and deliver. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time, and, for answering your reservation, that you ask us to take steps before a possible agreement (art. 6(1)(b)). We do not sell your information.

Who processes it for us

• Vercel hosts this website.
• Resend delivers reservations, builds and early list sign-ups to our inbox as email.
• Google (Gmail) receives and stores the email in our inbox.

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, in which case they rely on recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Production is planned for late 2028, so we keep your reservation while RYFT is in development, so that we can keep you posted. You can ask us to delete it at any time. If we have not been in touch for 24 months, we will ask whether you still want to be on the list, and delete your details if you do not answer. We keep early list addresses until you ask us to remove yours. If you become a customer, we also keep what the law requires us to keep, for example for bookkeeping.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your information, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Email us at ryft.bikes@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you think we handle your information wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.

Changes

If we change how the website works, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page first. See also our terms & conditions.
